Created in 1987 and owned by the Mitjans group, Vina del Mar is an export brand marketed by Paterno Imports. The list includes reasonably priced Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Fume Blanc, and higher-priced Reserve bottlings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay. A methode champenoise Brut labelled Rue de Royale is also offered. Grapes are grown in the Lontue district of the Maule Valley.
