The Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation - the industry's statutory body - is introducing a "Label Integrity Programme" which will complete a legislative system that both prescribes and enforces (through wide-ranging audits) the essential elements of appellation control: any claim of vintage, variety or region must be correct and be able to be proved correct.
