The important information is on the back label (contraetiqueta), or sometimes on a paper seal across the cork. The contraetiqueta carries the official logo of the Consejo Regulador (the DO's regulatory body) for that wine, a serial number by which the wine can be traced, and often a map. The main information is the status of the wine: crianza, reserva or gran reserva. If none of these words appear, then it is a vino joven. The front label shows the wine's quality level.
