Central Greece (Epirus and Thessaly) has three appellation areas. North-west of loanina, Zitsa produces a dry, or medium-dry, lightly sparkling white wine. Rapsani, on the foothills of Mount Olympus, is home to red wine, while Ankialos is a dry white from Rhoditis and Savatiano grapes grown near Volos.
