Founded in 1905, this Hawke's Bay winery is now part of the Villa Maria group (qv). The Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon/ Merlot is a big, bold, but always elegant wine. The Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is also good: both benefit from careful wood maturation. Reserve Chardonnay has also been judged highly. The Private Bin label is less expensive.
