De Redcliffe Estates

This small boutique winery is part of a resort complex in the Waikato region. From 14ha (35 acres) supplying half the estate's needs, and grapes bought in from the Marlborough region, De Redcliffe produces a varied range, from a full-flavoured Marlborough Rhine Riesling and typically herbaceous Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc to seriously wooded S6millon whites. From Hawke's Bay come a toasty, oatmealy Chardormay, and a creditable Pinot Noir.
